INTRUSION DETECTION

J. Each access control point shall have two dedicated relay outputs. Both relays shall provide
Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts. The first relay shall be used for electric
lock control. The second shall be software configurable to activate for door forced open,
door left open too long, duress, passback violations, invalid access attempts and valid
unlock conditions. Both relays shall be separately programmable for energize times from
one second to ten minutes and forty-five seconds. Relay 2 shall also allow a delay time to
be specified, causing its activation to be delayed after the activating condition occurs.
2.04 MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT
A. Provide all cabling required for installation of complete system.
B. Alarm sirens shall be provided above the ceiling at keypad locations. Alarm sirens shall
provide both steady and warble tones at 105 dB output.
C. Provide door release stations to allow the remote release of door latch/strike at locations
throughout the building. The door release station shall be constructed of stainless steel
faceplates with momentary push buttons provided for each door scheduled for remote
release.
D. Provide a dedicated dock door intercom system for communication between the dock door
and secretarial area. The dock door station shall be weatherproof. Dock door station shall
communicate to either master station in the secretarial area. Provide an Aiphone LEF
series system or equal by Viking or Nutone.
E. Provide motion detectors in the sports field concession buildings and storage building.
Provide surge protection devices for cable runs to these locations. Surge protectors shall be
mounted inside the main building at point where cable leaves the building. Refer to Site
Plan E0-1.
F. Provide I/O points for eight inputs and eight relay outputs for interface into the CCTV
System (Section 28 23 00, "Video Surveillance System").
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Division 28 Contractor shall install security system as shown on the Drawings in
accordance with Manufacturer's written instructions.
B. All wiring shall be installed in conduit.
3.02 TESTING
A. Division 28 Contractor shall provide a complete functional test of all components in
accordance with Manufacturer's recommendations.
B. Operate system for a minimum of seven consecutive days with no problems before
claiming Contract Completion.
